Figuring out my food sensitivities helped my symptoms

Before MRT+LEAP, I was experiencing bloating, mild to moderate abdominal pain, indigestion and irregular BMs. I was told I probably had IBS and to follow a Low FODMAP diet, which I did on my own for 1 year or so, and it worked sometimes but not consistently. I think once we found out exactly what foods I was sensitive to, it was a lot easier to follow an eating program with more precision and results. One thing that really helped me was to know what to look for/avoid in ingredient labels. Having a professional guide me through this was very helpful. It’s been a little over a month since I started the LEAP diet, and I’ve only had symptoms 3 times, and we were able to identify what were the likely causes.

I think it’s worth trying, especially if you’ve already tried other things and they don’t seem to work. Lindsey was very helpful in sharing meal ideas, recipes, websites and specific brands of foods I could eat, which, in my case, was one of the hardest things to figure out the first few days.
