Food Sensitivity / LEAP + MRT

Do you feel like you are you eating a healthy diet, but still don’t feel well? Are you suffering from IBS, Gastroesophageal Reflux (GERD), or other digestive issues? Migraines/headaches, arthritis, fibromyalgia, eczema, sinus congestion or extreme fatigue? These are just some of conditions that can be aggravated by inflammation caused by food sensitivities. They can wreak havoc on your daily activities, your concentration at work and even your athletic performance.
What are food sensitivities?
Food sensitivities are non-allergic (non-IgE), non-celiac inflammatory responses. When you consume a reactive food, your body releases mediators such as cytokines, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins that cause inflammation and pain. Even if you are eating the healthiest foods possible, those foods may be causing inflammation for YOUR body. It can be difficult to figure out which foods you are reactive to because the symptoms of a food sensitivity may not show up for hours or days and may be dose dependent. Managing these food sensitivities starts with the identification of trigger foods and food chemicals. Enter MRT testing.
How does MRT testing work?
The patented Mediator Release Test (MRT) is a blood test designed to identify sensitive foods and food-chemicals that cause an inflammatory response in your body. It is an accurate test with 94.5% sensitivity and 91.7% specificity. 170 foods and chemicals are tested.

What is LEAP?
LEAP stands for Lifestyle Eating and Performance. After receiving your MRT results, a LEAP customized elimination diet based on the results will be created for you. You will start with your least reactive foods and re-introduce other foods as you progress through the phases. Most patients experience a 50-80% reduction in symptoms in the first 2 weeks!
Can MRT help athletic performance?
In any athlete with a condition listed above, or even with chronic fatigue, eliminating the symptoms of their condition will improve their performance.

What People Say
The Program
LEAP is a 12-Week Food Sensitivity program. Prior to starting the program, you will have blood drawn for the MRT 170 panel and then ship it to Oxford Lab in Florida for results. Once we receive your results, we will work closely with you to test your food sensitivities with the MRT test and develop a customized Food Reintroduction plan (LEAP plan) to calm inflammation, lower symptoms, and allow your body to heal. We will have 5-6 visits throughout the 12-week period, which are likely covered by your insurance company.
How it works
- Initial Visit: We meet to dive deeper into your history and gain a better understanding of your current diet and lifestyle
- The MRT test: once paid for, a kit will be shipped directly to you, which you will then take to any lab for the blood draw.
- Plan Review Visit: This visit will last 60-90 minutes during which we will review your results in detail, review your LEAP food reintroduction plan, and plan out meals, snacks, and food products to get you started.
- Follow-up Visits: We will have a follow-up visit at days 10, 20, 30, and 50 of your plan. This ensures the best possible outcome for you.
- Food Logging: Keeping a detailed food log is required with the program. Lindsey will review your log at each meeting to ensure you are getting the best possible results from your plan. We also offer daily food log monitoring with commentary at an additional cost.
The BEST results with the MRT + LEAP are seen after 5-6 visits with Lindsey over a 3-month time span during your LEAP plan.
