What I'm Stocking for Back to School
School has started (for us at least) and the germs are a’spreading! It’s only been 1.5 weeks and teachers are already reporting tummy aches and vomiting (yikes). Below is what I like to keep on hand to support little bodies in school! I’ve also linked a downloadable easy pdf below to keep on hand to access each item.

- Megaspore Gummies: keep little guts thriving with megaspore! The clinically studied spore-based probiotic helps to maintain gut barrier function and recondition the gut by promoting diversity and maintaining key commensal bacteria.
- Biocidin TS: ahh I LOVE this one for sore throats! Keep on hand for upper respiratory support.
- Vit D3/K2: now that they are inside more often, it’s prime time to continue to keep their vit D levels up and immune systems strong
- EpicDefense Immunobiotic: help reduce sick days! EpicDefense is an immunobiotic formula for daily immune health and respiratory comfort. Learn more HERE
- Redmond’s Relyte kids: helps kids stay hydrated at school! We love both the grape and pink lemonade flavors. Highly recommend washing out their waterbottle after use.
- Rowe casa nasal spray: great for allergies and stuffy noses
- Takesumi supreme: good to have on hand for food poisoning or for stomach flu exposures
- Magnesium: little muscles need growth support! Magnesium is great for support growing bodies and sleep
- Nasal sprays: each has their own perks, but they both work well for congestion and allergies
- Bovine colostrum: the ultimate booster for gut health and immune support for back to school!
- Non-tox lunch boxes essentials: need I say more? We have used all of the options listed here!
And don’t forget the laundry! Here are my laundry essentials:
- EC3 – a powerful laundry additive formulated to help neutralize odor and enviornmenal residues (aka mold spores) in clothings, linens, and fabrics. It’s designed to support deeper cleaning beyond standard detergents. I like to pair it with Rustic Strength laundry detergent and Oxy Powder.
Sleep
Sleep. I LOVE to sleep. Anyone else? I think most of us know how valuable sleep is, especially on your healing journey. It is the time when the body rests, digests, and repairs. But for some of us, sleep still seems to escape us. You may not have known that your bedroom itself could be disrupting your sleep. This is where EMF can come into play. Electromagnetic frequency/field/force to be exact, which is an electric potential measured in volts (V). And some people are quite sensitive to it. You see, our bodies are energy and run on their own voltage (weird, I know). EMFs can disrupt your body’s bioelectrical signals which can influence self-regulation, lymph dynamics, and stress response. This can all lead then to disrupted sleep!
One thing you can do is note your EMF exposure in your bedroom. Yes, the voltage in your bedroom matters when you sleep. Anything higher than 1 volt can harm/impair recovery and sleep. You can purchase a fancy voltage meter to detect any high voltage spikes while you sleep, or follow some simple tips below!
Lower your EMF exposure while you sleep – Our bodies are energy and run on their own body voltage. Disrupt that at night and you can experience sleep problems. Try unplugging high voltage items or move them 6 ft away from the head of the bed, unplug your electric bed, stop using Bluetooth headphones while you sleep.
Also, turning of your wifi at night reduced EMF exposure. To make it easier, purchase an $8 Christmas light timer, plug your router into it, and set it to turn off at 10pm and turn on at 6am (or whichever timeframe works best for you).

Another solid sleep option: Add a high quality air purifier to your bedroom – Most people are in their beds a third of their day. Which means you’re breathing that air in for 7-9 hours. Yet it may be some of the unhealthiest air in your home. Usually because people tend to sleep with the doors and windows completely closed, trapping a heavy concentration of biological and chemical pollutants in a relatively small space.
Easy to-do’s: Replace HVAC filters regularly, reduce sources of indoor pollution (like scented candles or plug-in air fresheners), get some air-scrubbing plants (snake plant and spider plants are good choices), or consider a quality air purifier in the room where you sleep. My go-to air purifier is an Air Doctor!
And Lastly: Make sure the room temperature is 68-72 degrees (Okay this one is pretty typical) – Your body temperature naturally drops as you prepare for sleep. A warm bedroom can interfere with that process and reduce the deeper stages of sleep your body needs rest, digest, and repair. The sweet spot for bedroom temp is 60 to 67°F…yikes! If you’re not used to that, try lowering temps by 1-2 degrees nightly until you find your own sweet spot. You can also try opening a window, running a fan, or using a cooling pillow or mattress pad if your room tends to run warm.
Recipe Spotlight
If you’ve been feeling off for a while—dealing with bloating, abdominal pain, irregular bowel movements, food sensitivities, fatigue, brain fog, or other digestive symptoms—and still haven’t gotten clear answers, it may be time to look beyond the symptoms and take a deeper look at your gut health and the root causes behind what’s going on.
